Biography:
JAMES KAYODE BANJOKO.
James Kayode Banjoko (JKB) as his friends normally call him, was born in Kent, London, but was brought back to Ikorodu, Nigeria by his parents Chief & Mrs Olu Banjoko and was raised in Ikorodu.
JKB started his elementary School at Adraoh Nursery and Primary School Fadeyi Lagos and attended Army Command Secondary School and Igbobi College Yaba respectively for his secondary education, He graduated in 1986. After which he proceeded to the United Kingdom, He was admitted into the University of East London to study Information Technology and Business Studies and graduated with a combined Honours.
JKB, holds several Computer related certifications – he is a Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE). He has worked as a project consultant for various communications and Computer Companies both Nationally and Internationally.JKB is also blessed with many years of experience within the Nigerian and United Kingdom Governments respectively, he is currently based in the United Kingdom.
JKB was elected as the treasurer for the Westham WARD OF THE United Kingdom ‘s Labour Party in 1993 and has held different offices in various capacities in the United Kingdom as well. He was also appointed as the Coordinator for the group known as "GOOD LEADERSHIP NIGERIA"— (UK Branch). A youth based group tailored towards enthroning good leadership in Nigeria.
Based on his excellent and impeccable proven record, and being a strong patriot in his local district, both home and abroad, it is on this premise he is nominated to run as a candidate for THE FEDERAL HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVE FOR IKORODU WEST constituency of the Lagos state, Nigeria. Under the umbrella of Action congress Nigeria (ACN). His reason for running for a seat at the Federal House of Representatives is to steer Nigeria‘s economy towards a positive dimension and brighter future through effective policy making, implementation and enforcement. His major concern is achieving a Positive change, within the areas close to his heart, His particular interests are in the areas of HEALTH, EDUCATION, EMPLOYMENT, SECURITY AND POVERTY ERADICATION.
JKB’S Personal mantra reads:"I would rather live my life as if there is God, and die to find out there isn’t than live my life as if there isn’t and die to find out there is" "People always say that I will be a great man. I would rather just be a good man".
JKB’s is a peoples person, an excellent communicator, a mentor and a motivator, working successfully as a Senior Analyst within the financial sector with the FTSE company, he has mastered the skills and expertise of relating and working effectively with different types of individuals at different levels.
JKB has clear objectives and sound strategy, and believes in accountability, he is now putting together resources to bring his mission to the realm of materialization.
JKB, is happily married with children and has a very strong belief in the Family Value system. He loves football and plays Golf occasionally.
